TEN: Full Series

The 10 Commandments may seem like a list of outdated rules, but they are much more a reflection of God’s desire to have a relationship with us in the here and now. When we ask the question “why?” The answer is that God wants what’s best for us.

The 10 Commandments are about priorities. If we spend our time or money on things that are less important, it leaves little to no room for the most important things. The same is true with our faith.

Not using God’s name in vain is a way bigger deal than not swearing. The way we represent God is the most significant reason people decide whether to trust Him or run from Him.

God wants to give you a day off. The Sabbath is not about any specific day of the week, but rather about a day to rest and trust.

There is a preferred and ideal order that includes respecting and honoring your parents, the people who brought you into this world. The nurturing and loving support of a parent is the closest thing we have to a God-like relationship on Earth.

Don’t murder should be a short conversation without argument. However, God warns us about the seeds of murder that can build up in our hearts.

Our upgrade culture has us constantly on the look out for the next best thing. When it comes to people, we turn others into objects when see them only for how they can benefit us. God warns us that beginning to think this way changes us from the inside out.

Stealing is generally a result of not having. God seems to see it as a result of not having trust in him to provide. Instead of stealing, try giving and see what happens to your perspective on stuff.
