We work so hard to fit everything into our busy lives that we end up forgetting God. There are so many things competing for our time in this world that sometimes God gets squeezed out. If you were to redesign your daily priorities, how would you adjust to be sure God is a more regular part of your life?
Sharing God’s love and knowing God deeper have often been thought of as two separate but necessary elements of an active and growing faith life. We long to go “deeper” and grow closer to our God, but we also want our faith to matter so we spread God’s love as “wide” as we can. What if we actually grow deeper by spreading wider?
The movie Elf is arguably the best Christmas movie ever, or at the very least the best of the 21st Century. It has become a part of many people’s holiday traditions for a number of reasons…and now you can add the Gospel to the list. If we apply the Code of Elves to the basics of the Gospel, this movie is about way more than Santa and his elves!
The events surrounding Jesus’ birth seem too good to be true. They may even seem like a fairy tale. We tell the story so often through kid’s eyes or through beautiful songs that the reality of the story seems distant. Is it true? Were there really talking angels, was there a manger, and a virgin birth?
New Year’s resolutions are always a mixed bag. Sometimes we pick something that sticks, but most of the time we pick a handful of things from a long list we want to change and start without much of a plan. There are people who can pick seemingly random stuff and throw it together when it comes to cooking, but when it comes to planning the next year, we need a recipe for success.
Holding onto things of the past can weigh us down. Sometimes we get so used to the extra “weight” we carry that it becomes a part of us. The New Year usually brings all sorts of goals around getting healthier and losing literal weight. This year, start the year off by ditching the excess baggage you’ve been holding on to.
Some of us fear doubts when it comes to faith. We work hard to protect our positions on certain issues and leave little room in our lives for anyone who thinks differently. What if our faith is designed to have difficult conversations and ask difficult questions?
When it comes to faith, we spend a lot of time thinking about and talking about heaven as if it is a far off place. What if God’s intentions are for us to experience heaven here on earth? Our approach to interacting with others, diversity, and differing customs may just be a key to experiencing heaven on Earth that is often overlooked.
We all need help at some point. In fact, most people credit a mentor, coach, teacher, parent, or a group of close friends for getting them through life. The odd part about life is that we prefer to hide or minimize our flaws to protect ourselves, and we have little patience for others mistakes and learning experiences.

Comic book series with hero themes are some of the biggest blockbusters of our time. On some level, we all want a hero-God who saves us from all of our problems. What happens when God doesn’t do what we wanted Him to do or what we think He should do? What happens when God disappoints?
Crowds cheer, we tailgate, we gather, and fans dress for the occasion…our lives revolve around “The Big Game.” Our conversations are dedicated to who is playing and who won. The reality is that our faith has a big game, too. Holy week is like the Christian version of March Madness and Easter is “The Big Game.”

God doesn’t have a SPECIFIC plan for your life. He has invited us to be co-authors in this story based on the gifts he has given us and the passions that stir our souls.
Love can and will be painful, but it's better to feel pain than nothing at all. Like God, be stubborn in your love for others. Don't ask for easy; ask for worth it!
We experience a variety of transitions in our lives. When God meets us in those moments things go from black and white to life in color.
It's safe to say that some of us have doubts, we don't have all the answers, and yet, some of us don't need all the answers. Are you willing to consider something in which you cannot have it all figured out?
