TEN: Full Series
The 10 Commandments may seem like a list of outdated rules, but they are much more a reflection of God’s desire to have a relationship with us in the here and now. When we ask the question “why?” The answer is that God wants what’s best for us. The 10 Commandments are about priorities. If we spend our time or money on things that are less important, it leaves little to no room for the most important things. The same is true with our faith. Not using God’s name in vain is

TEN: Don't Covet
Wanting what others have robs the world of your unique story. You have been given a story to co-write with God that only you can tell.

TEN: Don't Lie
Our words are powerful. When we don’t choose them carefully, we can end up misrepresenting God to ourselves and others.

TEN: Don't Steal
Stealing is generally a result of not having. God seems to see it as a result of not having trust in him to provide. Instead of stealing, try giving and see what happens to your perspective on stuff.

TEN: Sabbath
God wants to give you a day off. The Sabbath is not about any specific day of the week, but rather about a day to rest and trust.

TEN: Name in Vain
Not using God’s name in vain is a way bigger deal than not swearing. The way we represent God is the most significant reason people decide whether to trust Him or run from Him.

TEN: No False Idols
The 10 Commandments are about priorities. If we spend our time or money on things that are less important, it leaves little to no room for the most important things. The same is true with our faith.

TEN: No Other Gods
The 10 Commandments may seem like a list of outdated rules, but they are much more a reflection of God’s desire to have a relationship with us in the here and now. When we ask the question “why?” The answer is that God wants what’s best for us.
